Are the costs covered by health insurance?

Psychotherapy sessions are covered by general health insurance if you have a referral from a general health practitioner, a psychiatrist, or a doctor for psychosomatic or psychosocial medicine. The costs are based on the PsyTarif of the general health insurance. Once you have paid your franchise, there is a 10% deductible.

Some supplementary health insurances cover part of the costs. Please check with your insurance whether this is an option.

Couple sessions and consultations are generally not covered by health insurance. Couple sessions cost 200 CHF an hour. The rate for consultations is 180 CHF an hour.

What happens if I have to cancel a session?

This is no problem! Sessions can be cancelled 24h in advance without costs. If a session is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance the full amount is charged as this time slot could have been used to help another person.
